MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Our goal is to ensure that teachers from across North Carolina, from every county, have equal access to global professional development.

Ways to Make a Difference

The Global Teachers Fellowship will ensure that at least one public school teacher from each of North Carolina’s 100 counties has the opportunity to participate in Go Global NC's Global Teachers program each year, in perpetuity.

You can help make this goal a reality in a number of ways, including making a gift to the Global Teachers Fellowship endowment, supporting a one-year or multi-year award for a teacher on the Global Teachers program, or making a planned gift to Go Global NC’s Global Teachers Fellowship endowment:

Make a Gift to the Global Teachers Fellowship Endowment Fund

To help prepare and develop our teachers to deliver a global education to North Carolina students, we are building an endowment fund that will ensure one teacher from each of North Carolina’s 100 counties receives a Global Teachers Fellowship every year – in perpetuity.

Making a gift to the endowment fund is your opportunity to establish a legacy and achieve a level of impact that transforms a school, a community, a county - even the state of North Carolina. Your gift will have a long-term, sustainable impact and will be a part of a movement to ensure that teachers from across North Carolina - from mountains to sea - have equal access to global professional development.

Various named gift opportunities exist, including at the county and statewide levels. We are also happy to create an opportunity that is personally meaningful to you.

Provide a One-Year or Multi-Year Global Teachers Program Award

Individuals, families, foundations, organizations, and businesses may also gift an award for a teacher to participate in an upcoming Global Teachers program. Go Global NC currently receives funding for approximately 56 annual awards for teachers from 29 North Carolina counties. The counties and number of teachers we are able to serve fluctuates each year depending on available philanthropic resources. Gift an award to help provide teachers from all 100 counties the opportunity to become Global Teachers!

Annual awards can be named by your business, in honor of your family, or in memory of a loved one.

Planned Giving

A planned gift to the Global Teachers Fellowship endowment can create a lasting legacy that impacts North Carolina teachers and students for generations to come. With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to Go Global NC as part of your estate plan, or you can make a bequest using a beneficiary designation form.

Bequests are typically made by way of a will, revocable trust, or even a simple codicil to your current estate plan. Your estate-planning attorney can assist you in preparing the necessary papers for you to complete the bequest.

Other bequests, such as those involving retirement assets, insurance policies, bank accounts and stocks and bonds, are typically made by completing the appropriate beneficiary designation form. Simply contact your retirement plan administrator, life insurance company, bank or investment broker and ask them to send you the appropriate "beneficiary designation" or "payable on death" form. To make your bequest, you will need to complete and sign the form and then return it to the appropriate person.

If you have been so generous as to include a bequest to Go Global NC as part of your estate plan, please take the time to let us know. We would like to recognize you and your family for your generosity.
